MOISA annual publication: Editorial Board

On 01 Nov 2011, it was moved by Alan C. Bowen and seconded by David Creese THAT Andrew Barker, Eleonora Rocconi, and Donatella Restani be charged with appointing the Editorial Board of the new annual journal of MOISA, THAT letters of agreement be obtained from each appointee, and THAT these letters be held on record in the minutes of the Executive Committee. This motion was approved and carried on 02 Nov 2011 by David Creese, Donatella Restani, Alan C. Bowen, Andrew Barker, and Eleonora Rocconi.

MOISA annual publication: preliminary research

On 01 Nov 2011, it was moved by David Creese and seconded by Donatella Restani THAT (a) the President should continue negotiations with Brill about the possible publication of the Moisa journal under their auspices, seeking acceptable responses from them to the concerns raised by members of the Executive Committee; and further, that any arrangements formulated on the basis of these consultations be submitted to the Annual Meeting of Moisa in January 2012; and that no agreement with Brill be finalized unless they are endorsed by the vote of members of Moisa at that Meeting; AND THAT (b) all

Treasurer's Report 2010

On 21 Feb 2011 it was moved by Alan C. Bowen and seconded by David Creese that the Executive Board accept the report dated 7 Feb 2011 by the MOISA Secretary/Treasurer Eleonora Rocconi. This motion was approved and carried on 23 Feb 2011 by Alan C.Bowen, David Creese, and Donatella Restani (with Eleonora Rocconi abstaining).

Maggi Creese appointed Assistant to the Sub-Committee on Electronic Publications

On 17 Feb 2011 it was moved by Alan C. Bowen  and seconded by Donatella Restani that Maggi Creese be appointed Assistant to the Sub-Committee on Electronic Publications to assist in maintaining the MOISA website, especially those web pages concerned with membership renewals and subscriptions, this appointment to be terminated at any time by mutual agreement with the Executive Board. This motion was approved and carried on 25 Feb 2011 by Alan C. Bowen, Donatella Restani, and Eleonora Rocconi (with David Creese abstaining).

February 7th

De musicis and RILM cooperation

On 07 Feb 2011 it was moved by Eleonora Rocconi and seconded by Alan C. Bowen that Maggi Creese, the MOISA Bibliographer, explore the possibilities of cooperation with organizers of the Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale (RILM) in developing De musicis for the members of MOISA. The motion was approved and carried on 7 Feb 2011 by Eleonora Rocconi, Alan C. Bowen, Andrew Barker, and Donatella Restani (with David Creese abstaining).

Bibliographer’s Report

On 5 Feb 2011 it was moved by Alan C. Bowen and seconded by Andrew Barker that the Executive Board accept the report dated 3 Feb 2011 by the MOISA Bibliographer Maggi Creese concerning the current state of the De musicis  bibliography, and that she be warmly commended for her exemplary work in developing this most valuable asset of the Society. This motion was approved sand carried on 6 Feb 2011 by Alan C.Bowen, Andrew Barker, Eleonora Rocconi, and Donatella Restani (David Creese abstaining)

February 3rd

New Seminar Proposal (Thessaloniki)

On 1 Feb 2011, it was moved by Andrew Barker and seconded by David Creese that the Executive Committee of MOISA cooperate with Prof. Alexandra Goulaki-Voutyra (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Fine Arts, School of Music Studies) and the Archive of Musical Iconography in promoting seminars and other activities. This motion was approved and carried on 3 Feb 2011 by Andrew Barker, Alan Bowen, David Creese, Donatella Restani, and Eleonora Rocconi.
