| Abstract | In the Platonic dialogues, the concept of mimesis takes a singular meaning when used about music. By analyzing how this mimesis works and its articulation with other artistic mimeseis, this article shows that music is a sensitive imitation of the soul's movements, which forwards them to other souls.
